The details
Exceptional early-1900s embossed beverage bottle from the Kalola Company of Savannah, Georgia, carrying unusually deep and highly pronounced advertising for three separate products distributed by the firm. The bottle is boldly embossed: KALOLA COMPANY SAVANNAH, GA. DISTRIBUTORS AMERICAN CLUB GINGER ALE ROCOLA MALT IRON ALE This is an especially strong example visually. The embossing is deep, crisp and extensive, covering much of the face of the bottle and giving the piece considerably more presence than a typical regional soda bottle. Period Savannah advertising from 1904 documents Kalola Company distributing American Club Ginger Ale, Rocola and Malt Iron Ale — the same three products named directly on this bottle. Based on that documented advertising and the company's early Savannah history, this example is conservatively dated circa 1904–1906. The Savannah, Georgia attribution gives the bottle strong regional appeal, while the combination of Kalola Company, American Club Ginger Ale, Rocola and Malt Iron Ale creates several distinct collecting angles within one piece. The glass has an attractive early appearance with visible manufacturing character, surface texture and natural age-related wear. Condition includes scattered scratches, haze/residue and signs of historic use consistent with an authentic returnable beverage bottle of this period. The embossing remains the standout feature and presents exceptionally well in natural light. A particularly strong Southern advertising bottle for collectors of Savannah history, Georgia bottles, early soda and ginger ale bottles, embossed advertising glass and regional pre-Prohibition beverage material. Please review all photographs closely once added, as they form an important part of the condition description.
