What you receive
Know what you own, document its history, and track the evidence behind your estimated values. This collector catalog and valuation workbook organizes antique and vintage collections: jars, bottles, insulators, stoneware, glass, kitchenware, cast iron, tools and more. Catalog each piece once: maker, type, era, identifying marks, color, size, condition, acquisition details, purchase cost, provenance, photo reference and storage location. Photos remain in your own files; the workbook records their references. Use sold evidence for estimated values. Log actual sold comparisons, link each to a unique collection Item ID, and mark true matches. Matching sales within your chosen window feed the average and price range. The default comp window is 36 months. Your own numeric value, with its basis and date, takes priority, including a legitimate zero. Review Needs value, Add value date and Re-check flags before relying on a recorded value. The default re-check window is 24 months; both windows are editable. OK describes the recorded date, not an independent appraisal. The Insurance Schedule supports all 500 catalog records. An item must count as owned and have Insure? marked Yes to appear. It brings together identification, condition, recorded value and basis, date, photo reference and location. Review the schedule and ask your insurer what documentation it accepts. This workbook organizes records useful for insurance and documentation; it is not a certified appraisal, does not provide professional appraisal services, and does not guarantee valuation accuracy or insurer acceptance. The Dashboard summarizes owned pieces, recorded purchase costs, estimated values, gains on valued pieces with known costs, all 20 category slots, condition, the top 10 valued pieces, scheduled and unscheduled value, and your want-list budget. Recorded realized gain is proceeds or trade value less known purchase cost, before unentered selling fees, tax and other expenses. Blank purchase costs remain unknown. CHECK warnings identify invalid or incomplete entries and prevent misleading partial totals. What to Record provides category-specific prompts, including jar closures and embossing, insulator CD numbers and bases, crock glaze and marks, and bottle finishes and seams. WHAT YOU RECEIVE One XLSX workbook with eight tabs: START HERE, Settings, Collection, Sold Comps, Dashboard, Insurance Schedule, Want List, and What to Record. A three-page Quick Start PDF with exact input-only example-clearing ranges, warnings, supported capacities, printing instructions and Google Sheets import checks. Room for 500 collection pieces, 1,000 sold comparisons, 500 insurance schedule lines and 100 want-list items. Twenty category slots and ten condition/status slots are editable. The examples illustrate the workflow and count in totals until cleared. Follow the Quick Start: clear designated input cells only and preserve every formula. Never delete or clear entire example rows. Copying or inserting rows does not extend all lookups, summaries or the schedule; use another named workbook when the supported capacity is reached. COMPATIBILITY Designed for functions available in Excel 2019 and Microsoft 365 or later. Native recalculation was tested in LibreOffice Calc. Older Excel is unsupported. Google Sheets import instructions are included; review dates, dropdowns, chart, warnings and the $173.33 collection value / $29.00 realized-gain examples after importing. Native Excel and Google Sheets conversion are not independently certified. Built by MercantileDesk at LintHead Restorations for practical antique and vintage recordkeeping. Instant digital download: XLSX workbook and PDF instructions. Nothing ships. For your own use. You will get the following files: * PDF (49KB) * XLSX (558KB)
