The details

Solid vintage American stoneware canister dated 1976 with rich brown glaze and classic cream drip detailing, complete with its original matching lid. Heavy, well made, and full of character, this is a true farmhouse piece that displays beautifully. This vintage stoneware crock canister was produced in the United States during the Bicentennial era and features a bold raised “76” shield emblem. The glaze shows excellent depth with natural kiln variation, a hallmark of quality American stoneware from the period. Substantial in hand with thick walls, it weighs over 11 pounds when filled, reflecting durability rather than fragility. Unbranded but well executed, it works equally well in farmhouse kitchens, rustic interiors, primitive décor, or Americana collections. No cracks or repairs noted; light vintage wear and natural glaze variation are present and appropriate for age. Approx. 9.5–10 inches tall with lid, heavy glazed stoneware, marked USA on base, original lid included, circa 1976, excellent vintage condition. Packed with care and shipped insured. Every piece leaves our shop protected to arrive safely.
