Vintage French Canister Set of 4

The details

A complete four-piece vintage French glass canister set by ARC France, dating to circa the 1970s. Each clear glass jar features bold harvest-style graphics with tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, peppers, artichokes, leafy greens, and other vegetables in rich orange, red, yellow, and olive tones. All four glass lids and wire closures are present. No rubber sealing gaskets are currently installed, so the jars are being sold exactly as shown. Measurements / Capacities Approximate graduated capacities: * 2 liter — approximately 10” tall * 1.5 liter — approximately 8 1/2” tall * 1 liter — approximately 6 1/2–6 3/4” tall * 3/4 liter — approximately 5 1/2” tall Capacities are molded into the bases of the jars. Please also refer to the measurement photographs for additional scale and dimensional detail. This design is commonly referred to in the vintage market as the “Spice of Life” pattern and has become especially popular with collectors of 1970s kitchenware, mushroom décor, French country pieces, cottagecore interiors, and retro pantry storage. Each jar is marked Made in France and features traditional wire-bail hardware with a heavy glass swing-top lid. The graduated sizes make this a particularly attractive display set, with molded metric capacities ranging from approximately 3/4 liter through 2 liters. Details * Authentic vintage ARC France glass canister set * Made in France * Circa 1970s * Complete graduated set of four * Clear molded glass construction * Glass swing-top lids * Dark metal wire-bail closures * Vegetable, mushroom, tomato, onion, and harvest graphics * Molded metric capacity markings * “Niveau de Remplissage” fill-level marking * Commonly marketed as the “Spice of Life” design The combination of warm harvest colors, mushroom imagery, French manufacture, and functional pantry form gives this set excellent decorative appeal. It works particularly well in a vintage kitchen, French country pantry, cottagecore interior, retro 1970s display, or fall and Thanksgiving kitchen arrangement. Condition Very good vintage condition overall with strong, colorful graphics and an attractive aged appearance. The glass shows normal light wear consistent with age and use. The wire hardware retains its naturally darkened vintage patina. Replacement food-safe sealing rings can be added if airtight storage is desired. Please review the photographs closely for the exact condition, graphics, hardware, molded markings, and other details of each jar. This is a particularly appealing set to keep together. Complete graduated examples are much harder to find than individual replacement jars, and the four different sizes create a strong display when grouped on a pantry shelf, kitchen counter, hutch, or open shelving. Perfect for collectors of vintage French kitchenware, 1970s glassware, mushroom décor, retro kitchen accessories, harvest décor, and distinctive pantry storage. Packed with care and shipped insured.
