Vintage Metal Specimen Display in Riker Case

Vintage metal specimen display in a glass-fronted Riker case, offered as the complete arrangement shown in the photographs. Included are the two rounded metal pieces, two scalloped/overlapping groups and two narrow rectangular pieces shown, together with the display case and its handwritten labels. The photographed labels identify “The Riker Specimen Mount” and include handwritten dates of 1931 and 1932. The notes refer to arrow points. Those dates belong to the collection notes; they do not establish when the displayed metal pieces were made or confirm that the notes describe these specific pieces. Civil War, military, battlefield or archaeological provenance is not established by the accompanying labels. The exact age, original use, origin and metal composition of the displayed pieces have not been independently verified. Condition: the metal pieces show surface oxidation, discoloration and wear. The black display case shows scuffs and wear, with clear tape visible on the back. The pieces are arranged against white padded backing beneath the glass.
