The details
Fenton Silver Crest milk glass pedestal compote — one of Fenton’s most recognized and collected patterns. Produced from the late 1940s through the early 1960s, Silver Crest pieces are defined by the hand-applied crystal clear ruffled edge over a soft white milk glass body. This compote is a standout example: crisp edge definition, clean white glass body, and the elegant elevated pedestal that makes these pieces so effective as centerpieces and display items. The crystal rim is sharply defined with no chips, fleabites, or rough edges. The milk glass body is bright white with the smooth, glossy surface quality Fenton is known for. No cracks or repairs observed. Light base wear consistent with age and careful use. Fenton Silver Crest is among the most actively collected of all American art glass lines. A complete, unchipped compote in this size and form is a strong addition to any established collection or an ideal starting point for a new one. Displays beautifully on a dining table, hutch, curio cabinet, or dessert buffet. Approximate dimensions: 8 inches diameter, 5 inches height.
