The details

This antique Atlas Good Luck half-pint fruit jar is an uncommon small-format example produced by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company during the early twentieth century. Unlike the better-known Atlas Good Luck clover jars, this variation is embossed simply ATLAS / GOOD-LUCK and does not carry the four-leaf clover emblem. The jar presents in mint collector condition. The glass is exceptionally clean and clear, with no chips, cracks, cloudiness, staining, or other damage observed during inspection. The embossed ATLAS and GOOD-LUCK lettering is crisp and strongly defined. The wire closure operates properly, and the glass lid fits securely. The jar holds approximately eight fluid ounces when filled to the brim, confirming the half-pint size. Its compact square body, heavy clear glass, smooth lip, glass lid, and Lightning-style wire-bail closure give it exceptional display presence despite its small size. The jar's front embossing appears without the clover commonly seen on the Good Luck line; we have not found this variation listed in collector references. The base is marked with the mold number 7. The half-pint size is considerably less frequently encountered than the standard quart jars and is especially desirable to collectors assembling Atlas Good Luck size and closure variations. Its squat form and bold embossing also make it an excellent display piece for an antique pantry, country-store collection, early kitchen display, or specialized fruit-jar collection.
