Atlas E-Z Seal Quart Fruit Jar

The details

Desirable antique Atlas E-Z Seal quart fruit jar in true cornflower-blue glass, complete with a period glass lid and wire-bail Lightning closure. This is the stronger-color variation identified as Red Book No. 110, not the ordinary light-aqua Atlas E-Z Seal. Professionally packed for fragile shipment. Ships next business day. Full refund if damaged in transit. The jar is boldly embossed ATLAS / E-Z / SEAL on the front. The base is embossed ATLAS E-Z SEAL TRADEMARK REG. and carries mold number 3, the combination that distinguishes this variation from the more common mold-number-only Atlas jars. Its cornflower-blue color is the main collector feature. The glass displays a noticeably richer blue tone than standard aqua examples, with attractive depth under both natural and indoor lighting. Period manufacturing characteristics, including glass waviness, seed bubbles, and minor irregularities, are visible throughout and contribute to its early utility-glass character. The smooth-lip jar retains an old-style Lightning closure with a fitted glass lid and wire-bail assembly. The wire operates properly, and the jar presents as a complete collector display. Because antique closures were commonly exchanged during use, the lid and bail are described as period components rather than guaranteed original to this exact jar. The embossing is sharp and legible, the base markings are clear, and the cornflower-blue glass has excellent visual presence. No cracks or repairs are present. Please review the photographs closely for the exact condition of the glass, rim, lid, wire, embossing, and base. This is a strong example for an Atlas, Hazel-Atlas, Lightning-closure, or antique fruit-jar collection and is substantially more desirable than the standard aqua Atlas E-Z Seal quart.
