Authentic antique Ball Triple-L MASON half-gallon fruit jar in vivid aqua-blue glass, dating to approximately 1900–1910.
This example combines bold early Ball embossing, a large half-gallon form, pronounced glass movement, deeper blue-green color at the base and a distinctive vertical trail of naturally formed seed bubbles passing through the final L in the Ball script.
The front carries the early 3-L Loop, commonly called Triple-L, Ball script above block MASON lettering. Based on the embossing, capacity, closure style and color, it is consistent with the standard Red Book No. 234 Ball Triple-L MASON family rather than a separately cataloged lettering-error variation.
The jar includes an aged zinc screw lid with milk-glass liner. The zinc shows oxidation, darkening, patina and age-related wear. Because antique closures were often interchanged, the lid is described as period compatible rather than guaranteed original to this body.
Condition: Very good antique collectible condition. No cracks or major chips are visible in the supplied photographs. Expected age and manufacturing evidence includes light scratches, surface wear, seed bubbles, waviness, mold irregularities and storage marks. Review every image closely for the exact mouth, threads, embossing, bubble trail, heel, base swirl, lid and liner condition.
