Original 10-gallon Red Wing stoneware crock from the early 1900s — a monumental piece of American utilitarian pottery and one of the largest display-appropriate sizes produced. ⚠️ Freight shipping required. Please message us for a shipping quote before purchasing. Local pickup welcome.
A 10-gallon crock represents the upper range of standard production sizes for American stoneware potteries of the period. Red Wing's 10-gallon pieces were used for large-scale food preservation — sauerkraut, pickles, lard, and salt pork — and surviving examples in good condition are increasingly difficult to find. This crock carries the Red Wing mark and shows the characteristic salt glaze and cobalt decoration of early 1900s production. No chips or cracks to the body. The handles are solid. A 10-gallon crock commands presence in any interior.
Condition: Very Good. No structural damage. Handles solid. Age-appropriate surface wear consistent with use and age.
