The Atlas Strong Shoulder Mason jar was produced in the early 20th century and is distinguished by its distinctive reinforced shoulder seam design — stronger and more robust than earlier shoulder-seal styles. This example carries an exceptional feature combination: a rare light cornflower blue glass tone (far less common than aqua or green Atlas jars) combined with heavy seed bubble activity throughout the glass. Seed bubbles — trapped air pockets frozen into the glass during manufacture — are a hallmark of hand-process and early machine-blown glass, and collectors prize them as evidence of authentic pre-industrial production.
Condition: Very good. No chips or cracks. Glass clean with original patina. Closure threads intact.
Dimensions: Standard quart, approximately 7" tall.
Age: Circa early 1900s–1920s.
