A rare antique German beer stein from Westerwald — the "Die Lindenwirtin" form in traditional salt glaze with hinged pewter lid, 0.5L capacity. Westerwald stoneware has been produced in the Rhineland-Palatinate region since the 16th century and remains one of the most respected regional German stoneware traditions. The relief-molded decoration is clean and well-defined.
Die Lindenwirtin (The Linden Innkeeper) is a classic motif in German stein production. The pewter lid is original, in working condition, and hinges properly. The cobalt blue and gray salt glaze shows authentic age character without damage. This is a collector-grade piece, not a reproduction — the weight, glaze character, and lid hardware confirm period production.
