This listing is for an authentic antique Lineberry factory cart coffee table reconstructed from original 1800s mill cart components and reclaimed North Carolina textile mill decking. Professionally restored with original cast iron wheels and hardware, each table is built to order and buyers may select their preferred stain finish. This commissioned reconstruction begins with an original Lineberry mill cart from the late 19th century. When a cart enters the workshop it is dismantled completely—every bolt removed, every plank separated, and the frame reduced to its structural components. The reclaimed red oak decking, originally used in North Carolina textile mills, becomes part of a carefully maintained inventory of antique hardwood that has already carried industrial weight for more than a century.
During reconstruction the strongest surviving components are selected and reassembled into a historically correct Lineberry platform. Boards are chosen individually for grain, density, and tone. Each plank is sanded through progressive grits and the stain is developed through testing until the proper depth and character is achieved. Protective coats are applied in thin layers to preserve the antique oak while ensuring long-term durability as functional furniture.
All cast iron wheels and hardware are original Lineberry components. The iron is stripped, stabilized, refinished, and reinstalled so every rod and bolt aligns with the original engineering of the cart.
Nothing is reproduced.
Nothing is assembled from new lumber.
Nothing is rushed.
The result is a piece of authentic American industrial history reconstructed as heirloom furniture. Because every cart is built from original antique components and boards reclaimed from historic mill flooring, no two tables are identical. Buyers may select their preferred finish tone including clear, walnut, ebony, or a custom stain.
