Antique steamer trunk / footlocker dating from the early 1900s–1930s. Constructed with a wood frame clad in black sheet metal, reinforced with riveted corners, and fitted with original metal hardware and a single leather handle. The trunk retains its original patterned paper lining inside, showing age and character consistent with over 100 years of use.
This trunk was most likely produced by a major American maker such as Seward or Belber, with hardware supplied by lock companies like Eagle or Corbin. Exact maker’s labels are no longer present, which is common for trunks of this period.

Condition: Structurally solid. Shows age-related wear, patina, scuffs, and surface oxidation to hardware. Interior lining is intact but shows discoloration and wear. Handle is original but aged (see all photos for details).
