Beautiful antique Ball Ideal aqua blue mason jar with original wire bail closure and matching glass lid. Professionally packed for fragile shipment. Ships next business day. Full refund if damaged in transit.
This early Ball Ideal jar features the desirable square body design and original wire bail lid system. The lid band is embossed “WIRE SIDE”, a detail collectors specifically look for when identifying earlier Ideal jars. The glass has the classic aqua blue tone produced by iron content in early glass manufacturing and displays beautifully in natural light.
The Ball Ideal line was produced beginning in the 1910s and became one of the most recognizable early American canning jar styles. Square examples like this are especially popular for farmhouse and primitive kitchen decor because they display well and show the embossing clearly. This example retains its correct glass lid and original bail wire.
Condition is very good for age with typical light wear and minor bubbles from early glass production. The aqua color and crisp embossing make this a strong display piece for collectors or vintage kitchen decor.
