An exceptional early American textile mill bobbin with untouched surface, authentic wear, and original factory stamping from Burlington, Vermont.
This antique wooden spool was used in a working Vermont textile mill and remains completely original, showing honest age, natural patina, and factory-applied metal fittings. The top face retains a faint but legible factory stamp reading Vermont Spool Bobbin Co., Burlington, VT, confirming its industrial origin and regional provenance. Tool marks, age cracks, oxidation to the metal hardware, and surface wear are consistent with genuine 19th to early 20th century mill use and have not been altered or restored. This piece has been left intentionally untouched to preserve its historical integrity. It reads as both a serious industrial artifact and a sculptural object suitable for high-end interiors, studios, or curated collections.
