1940s Tru-Lov Cravats Advertising Display, Dubarry Silk Lined Necktie Counter Card, Vintage Men's Store Ephemera.
This original 1940s advertising piece was produced for Tru-Lov Cravats to promote their "Dubarry" silk-lined tie line. The bold mid-century graphic shows a painter illustrating a richly patterned tie on an easel, a playful nod to the craftsmanship behind the neckwear, with the Tru-Lov Cravats brand mark printed at left.
Most likely used in retail packaging or as a point-of-sale counter display, the card retains its printed $1.00 price tag at the bottom, which helps date it to the 1940s. The reverse is plain aged cardboard with light wear consistent with period store handling; no additional manufacturer markings are visible on the back.
Despite thorough research, no other examples of this specific advertising piece could be found in auction records, online marketplaces, or ephemera archives, suggesting it is a scarce piece of advertising history.
