Solid vintage American stoneware canister dated 1976 with rich brown drip glaze and classic cream drip detailing, complete with its original matching lid. Professionally packed for fragile shipment. Ships next business day. Full refund if damaged in transit.
This canister was produced as part of the American Bicentennial commemorative market of 1976, a year that generated an enormous output of American-made ceramic and stoneware pieces. The brown drip glaze over a cream body is one of the most characteristic glazing techniques of American studio-influenced stoneware from the 1960s–1970s. The canister is substantial in weight and feel — this is real stoneware, not a lightweight import. The original lid is present and fits properly. No chips or cracks to the body or lid. The 1976 date is applied to the piece. A functional and decorative piece for Bicentennial collectors, farmhouse kitchen enthusiasts, or lovers of brown-drip stoneware.
Condition: Excellent. No chips or cracks. Original lid present. Glaze intact.
